To usher in sustainable development in and around Kalahandi district in the state of Odisha,
JWCT was established on 1st March 1990 as a non-registered organization by a group of highly committed and widely experienced in the field of social works.
The organization got registered on 9th May 1991 under Indian Trust Acts 1882.
The underlying objective was to prepare a road to radicalization at grassroots level to give birth
to a new society out of traditional structure. At present JWCT is working in 138 Villages,
38 GPs in 5 blocks covering 7812 families in Kalahandi District, Odisha.
In the development journey of its social activities over a period of couple of decades. JWCT is recognized among the people it works with as an organization
dedicated to the cause. The recognition is an acknowledgment of the community and perseverance of the staff of JWCT in mobilizing, motivating and supporting
the communities through the process of change. Summing up the year gone by, it can be simply said that it was indeed a struggle for transformation that JWCT worked
on to reach its goal of establishment of a compassionate society to integrate the non-integrated people
